Step 1
Draw a curved line for the bottom of the shoe. For this example I am drawing a sneaker, so the bottom edge of the shoe is just a curved line.
Step 2
Next, add another curved line for the top of the shoe. This line goes from the top edge where the opening of the shoe is, to the bottom sole, covering the toes.
Step 3
Next, draw the opening of the shoe with another curved line. This line starts where the top of the shoe line ends, and lines up with the line for the bottom of the shoe.
Step 4
Add a line for the back heel area of the shoe. This should be a line that’s just slightly curved. If you look at the shape of your own heel on your foot you will see that it’s just a little bit curved, too.
Step 5
Now that our shoe is beginning to shape up, we’ll add some detail to it. Add a line that’s parallel to the curved line of the bottom of the shoe. This line will suggest that the shoe has some sort of rubber on the bottom for the sole.
Step 6
Next add some shoelaces to your shoe. This is the simplest way to draw shoelaces on your shoe: simply draw three parallel lines going across the top of your shoe. Notice that the angle of the lines to the rest of the shoe helps to give it a little bit of dimension.
Step 7
Now that your shoe drawing is complete, you can color it in! What color will you make your shoe?
